Investment Data Operations Analyst

As an Investment Data Operations Analyst on our Data Operations Team in our Des Moines office, you'll independently perform daily tasks, data analysis, investment valuation, and ad hoc requests to support the investment lifecycle within a global infrastructure. The team operates in a fast-paced environment that places an emphasis on continuous learning, collaboration, and maintaining an equitable and fun working environment. Here are additional examples of the types of things you'll do :

• Collect and verify investment data while ensuring accurate and up to date security information is shared across various operational systems encompassing multiple asset classes including Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives.
• Support global investment initiatives through participation in projects, process reviews and / or system improvements.
• Proactively diagnose and manage high risk issues by reviewing and identifying operational improvements to ensure that data is handled and processed accurately and effectively throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Conduct special analyses and / or studies to ensure quality standards are met including data governance and audit requirements.
• Collaborate and partner with internal and external personnel to obtain information to resolve issues.
• Enhance understanding of Principal Global Investors' products, team procedures, and clients' needs.

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance, economics or business required. A minimum of 1+ years' work experience in investment / mutual fund operations or related field preferred. Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, time management and communication skills. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and timely information. Strong prioritization and flexibility as business needs change.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $28.31 - $38.36 / hour

Time Off Program

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

This role will be based out of our World Headquarters located in Des Moines, IA. Work Environments This role offers the ability for in-office or four days in-office and one day remote. You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
