A Medical Manufacturing Company in St Charles, IL is seeking Entry Level Seamstress's to join their team!!

Would you like to create Textile-Based Medical Products that are needed for Hospitals, Care Facilities, and the Medical Industry?

Work Hours :

1st Shift - Monday to Friday 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm

2nd Shift - Monday to Friday 3 : 00pm to 11 : 30pm

Pay Rate :

1st Shift : $17.00 per hour.

2nd Shift : $18.00 per hour (Will earn an extra +$1.00 Differential Pay)

Position Purpose :

The purpose of this position is to accurately align material under needles using marks on machines and templates as guides. The sewer guides the material under machine needles and presser foot pedals to sew parts together. This position will handle straps, hardware, using scissors to trim threads, and threading.

Duties for this position include :

• Operate single needle sewing machines to perform basic sewing steps that automatically join and reinforce material.
• Operate basic automated machines to perform basic sewing steps.
• Align material under needles using marks on machines and templates as guides.
• Align material pieces in correct order prior to sewing and verify that they in the correct position.
• Guide material under machines needles using presser hand or foot pedals to sew parts together.
• Place cord, spools of thread or other material on spindles, insert bobbins, thread ends through machines guides and thread needles as necessary.
• Trim excess threads from material after sewing, using scissors, nippers.
• Select supplies such as fasteners and thread to meet job requirements.
• Inspect and check the material to locate defects or damage.
• Repair mistakes or mark quality issues as necessary.
• Observe machine operations and identify problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread or machine.
• Malfunctions and report such defects to supervisors or mechanics.
• Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use fingers, hands, arms and / or legs to handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
