Clerical Position
Performs varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. This includes clerical duties such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, and distributing mail. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions to resolve most issues. Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems. May assist in orienting and training others.
Location : This position is full-time (40-hours / week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment with courier duties between offices. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 7 : 30AM-4 : 00PM. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role is located at 8901 Farrow Road Columbia, SC 29203.
What You'll Do
- Scans, images and indexes documents. Verifies accuracy of data and corrects errors discovered during review or research of documents. Compares or researches incoming mail or work requests to ensure related components are put together appropriately and free of errors and duplicates. Sorts and distributes documentation appropriately.
- Prepares correspondence or packages for internal / external mailing. Tracks correspondence and / or packages and follows up as needed.
- Maintains departmental logs, spreadsheets or databases. May prepare basic reports / statistics for management on work received for production and workload assessment.
- Orders supplies and maintains departmental supply inventory.
- Assists other staff members in related duties as needed.
