The Integrated Warfare Systems Group (IWSG) comprises more than 100 staff that provide program and project management, systems and digital engineering, software, test & evaluation, product support, cybersecurity, international / Foreign Military Sales, strategic communications, and IT support to more than 100 Above Water Sensor, Undersea, and Combat System programs and projects in the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) and customers in Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Office of Naval Research (ONR), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the Navy’s Team Submarine Office. #FC

Responsibilities

SPA's IWSG is seeking a dedicated Senior Database Engineer to support the Space Systems Development Department (SSDD), the primary space and ground support systems research and development (R&D) organization of the Naval Center for Space Technology (NCST), an organization within the . Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington, DC. This organization provides Navy Space Program technology development and acquisition of space, aerospace, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems to assist Naval Missions. Responsibilities include advanced research and development for scientific, technical, and engineering efforts associated with the development and integration of C4ISR systems. This position is full-time onsite at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. We expect to hire for this position in late 2025.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Washington, DC Pay Transparency Range : $140,000 - $180,000.

Qualifications

Required

• BS Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years
• DoD granted TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
