At Parc Center for Disabilities , we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience life to the fullest. Our Discovery Learning Center is a warm, inclusive preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years , including children with diverse abilities.
We are currently seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and inclusion. If you’re looking for a meaningful role where your work truly impacts children and families every day, this may be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Do
As a Preschool Teacher, you’ll play a key role in nurturing each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include :
- Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued
- Planning and leading engaging lessons using the Creative Curriculum , including music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
- Supporting children with diverse needs using positive behavior support strategies
- Tracking developmental progress using Teaching Strategies Gold
- Building strong partnerships with families through open communication and conferences
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records to support individualized learning
- Collaborating with fellow teachers, therapists, and leadership as part of a mission-driven team
- Following Pinellas County Childcare Licensing Standards and all safety requirements
Our classrooms are staffed based on children’s needs, not just minimum ratios , allowing you to focus on quality care, strong relationships, and meaningful instruction.
