Position Summary
The Dental Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of procedures performed by dental staff and assists dentist(s) in all phases of dentistry, including taking diagnostic intra-oral x-rays and completing front desk / registration duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist dentist(s) chair side in all phases of dentistry and manage patient behavior during treatment
- Operate dental radiographic equipment for the purpose of oral radiology; taking diagnostic quality x-rays, developing, and mounting correctly as requested by the dentist(s)
- Follow infection control protocols as specified by professional, state and federal standards
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions following dental procedures
- Perform tasks in adherence to all OSHA and regulatory sterilization, infection control, and protective barrier guidelines
- Document treatment and patient information in dental software program
Required Skills or Abilities
All wages are based on relevant years of experience. Work schedule is Monday to Friday and every other Saturday.
