Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain industry experience in a regulated laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory testing of blood glucose test strips and ensuring accuracy and precision in results.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing of blood glucose test strips within environmental chambers.
- Prepare and process blood samples for testing.
- Manipulate and test hematocrit levels.
- Perform glucose spiking for testing accuracy and performance.
- Accurately document test results and observations per protocols.
- Operate and maintain basic laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and procedural guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
- Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing/lab environment.
Work Environment
This role involves frequent trips between the laboratory and environmental chambers. The work schedule follows a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM OR 9 AM to 5 PM. Work involves using instruments such as centrifuges, pipettes, capillary tubes, and environmental chambers (5°C-40°C).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pompano Beach, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
