Your work will directly support faculty instruction and enhance the overall learning experience for students in nursing and allied health programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepares and maintains lab equipment and supplies in conformation with infections control policies and procedures as outlined by OHSA and the American Dental Association guidelines. Ensures that safety checks of the laboratory are performed prior to lunch breaks and the end of the day (to be completed after the last student departs, when possible). Assists in identifying hazardous equipment, materials, and non-participant students with day-to-day cleaning responsibilities. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as necessary or assists in contacting the appropriate agency or vendor to ensure timely repairs. Tracks budget expenditures and creates purchase orders. Ensures custodial services and supplies have been provided for the classroom. Minimum QualificationsRequiredCompletion of an accredited dental assistant or dental hygiene programPossession of Dental Assistant Infection Control and Radiography CertificateOne year of related experienceValid American Heart Association BLS Card (CPR Card)- Or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
