Selectek is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our clients engineering team. This role focuses on designing new products and improving existing ones using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing the product development lifecycle and a solid foundation in mechanical or electrical design.
Responsibilities :
Design new and enhance existing products utilizing SolidWorks and other 3D CAD tools.
Manage the product design lifecycle from concept through full-scale production, including component design and documentation.
Conduct engineering testing, document results, and produce detailed test reports.
Develop clear and concise assembly procedures for the manufacturing team.
Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) events to identify potential failure modes and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and production readiness.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in product design.
Proficient in SolidWorks, 3D CAD design, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including sand casting, permanent mold casting, machining, and welding.
Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market and redesigning existing products for improved performance.
Pay Rate : $70,000 - $80,000
