Pre-Engineered Metal Building Design Engineer

Full-time | $80,000 – $110,000 per year + Bonus

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Engineered Metal Building Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with experience in pre-engineered metal building design, excellent technical skills, and a passion for delivering quality projects. If you’re eager to work on a variety of projects and grow your career in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems using MBS software and AutoCAD.

  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure design meets project requirements and specifications.

  • Prepare detailed structural drawings and documentation for fabrication and erection.

  • Perform engineering calculations and reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.

  • Support project teams throughout all phases, from conceptual design through construction.

  • Troubleshoot design challenges and recommend innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural or metal building design.

  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with MBS (Metal Building Software) and AutoCAD.

  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and applicable codes.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
