Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the order desk, ensuring efficient processing of customer orders.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction levels.
- Coordinate with sales teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor and analyze order desk performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and industry trends.
- Support the sales team by providing timely information and updates on order status.
- Inventory control and audit.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a retail or order processing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions.
- Proficient in order management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of the lumber industry is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Pneumatic tool use and repair helpful.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management is preferred.
- Must have 3 to 5 years of construction experience or building materials knowledge.
