Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatments in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role combines technical expertise, patient education, and emotional support to ensure optimal outcomes for individuals with chronic or acute renal failure.

Job specification

Deliver hemodialysis treatments following established protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care.
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional well-being, and monitor vital signs, fluid balance, and laboratory results.
Administer prescribed medications and intravenous therapies, monitoring responses and managing potential complications.
Assist with the placement, maintenance, and care of dialysis catheters and fistulas, ensuring infection prevention and proper function.
Educate patients and their families about renal failure, hemodialysis procedures, medications, and dietary guidelines to promote self-care and better health outcomes.

Candidate requirements

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact licensure.

Ability to obtain a New Mexico license if not already held.

Prior experience in hemodialysis nursing is preferred.

Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification is a plus.

Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and related equipment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
