Essential Functions of the Role Formulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility. Involve supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals. Continually update your knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices. Foster a healing and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow staff members. Recognize development needs and facilitate educational opportunities for staff members. Set a positive example of professionalism within the nursing field and work atmosphere. Incorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patient care. Key Success Factors Knowing nursing practices, follow healthcare laws, and communicate well. Quality care, patient focus, and ethical practices are essential.
