Diet Tech (dual locations)

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Diet Tech to join our team at Riverview Manor, a 77-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Owego, New York. Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks for our residents

• Monitor and record resident food intake, identifying any potential issues or concerns

• Maintain accurate records of inventory, ordering, and financial transactions related to food and supplies

• Collaborate with the dietary department to plan and prepare special diets and provide nutrition education to residents

• Ensure adherence to all dietary regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines

• Participate in maintaining a clean and organized dietary department, adhering to infection control and safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 0-1 year of experience in dietetics, culinary arts, or related field (new graduates welcome to apply)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with dietary software
