Art Teacher - Digital Art - Part time

What you’ll do :

Teach Digital Design Classes : Teach weekly art and / or digital art classes from 3pm to 7pm during the week and during the day on Saturdays for a variety of ages

Ensure Student Success : Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students and teachers to observe, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth

Provide Hospitality Service & Communication : Conduct proactive check-ins with parents, students and families, support makeup scheduling, discuss student progress and opportunities for growth, upsells to additional classes / camps.

Implement One River Methodology Curriculum : Review lesson plans / resources on time and implement the One River Method through each class effectively and contribute to lesson plan development regularly

Run a best-in-class studio : Maintain the digital lab, Clean and organize studio spaces and student artwork and oversee digital lab maintenance

Requirements :

BA / BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master’s a plus) or equivalent professional experience

3+ years experience teaching visual arts for K–12 and / or adults. Digital art skills in the Adobe Suite and Procreate

Track record of high-quality instruction, classroom management, and student progress.

Clear communicator, organized, and energized by a busy studio environment

Passion for art history, contemporary art and a “students-first” mindset

Schedule & Compensation :

This is a Part time position with afternoon, evening and Saturday teaching hours

Pay rate is between $25 and $27 per hour depending on experience
