Description
:The Test Engineer will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and laboratory staff to design, implement, and document testing procedures for electrical, mechanical, or environmental systems. This role requires hands-on involvement in building test setups, executing tests, and analyzing results to ensure reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with SMEs to identify applicable industry-standard tests or application-specific unique tests.
Develop and document test plans and procedures for review and approval.
Implement test plans, including system control and data acquisition.
Identify anomalies during test execution and collaborate with SMEs to determine corrective actions or adjustments.
Document and report test results clearly and accurately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to collaborate with SMEs and lab staff to develop and execute test plans and setups.
Experience (or strong interest) in electrical, mechanical, or environmental testing.
Familiarity with system control and data acquisition (experience preferred; willingness to learn required).
Competence in data analysis and visualization.
Strong documentation skills for test results and procedures.
Willingness to support other job functions during peak workload periods.
Ability to work as part of a team with SMEs as technical leads.
Hands-on approach to building and executing test setups (with lab staff assistance).
Ability to travel as required.
Highly motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
Location:
This is an in-person role requiring active participation in lab activities.
Travel Requirements:
Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel and flexible collaboration across team. Up to 4–5 trips per year to Lenox lab (approx. 4 days per trip)
