Our Client is seeking a Sales Manager/Station Manager in Alpena, MI. The legacy station is affiliated with CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX television. The position reports directly to the General Manager. The individual must have experience in the broadcasting industry, specifically managing a local sales team, overseeing operations, developing sales strategies, and networking with local businesses. Responsibilities also include setting sales goals and analyzing sales data to monitor trends. We’re looking for a dynamic leader with a bachelor’s degree, four years of sales experience, and three years of sales management experience are required, particularly in the broadcast industry. Key Responsibilities of a Sales/Station Manager in Broadcasting: · Sales Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of a local sales team, including setting performance goals and motivating team members. · Overseeing daily Operations: Manage the sales team and assist other departments. · Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue goals. · Networking: Build strong relationships with local businesses and media partners to identify new sales opportunities. · Data Analysis: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth. · Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers and clients. · Programming: In the station manager role, may also assist in programming decisions, including content selection and scheduling.
