Job Summary / Company : Sparks Group has partnered with a professional insurance organization that specializes in providing innovative solutions and services to the insurance industry. They focus on delivering tailored underwriting and claims processing services, assisting clients in managing risks and improving overall operational efficiency. Together we are seeking Property Underwriting Processors to join the team. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers through written and verbal communication, reviewing policy coverage risk, and making approval or denial decisions in alignment with client and company standards. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in property insurance and underwriting. This is a fully remote position, with eligibility limited to candidates residing in the following states : MD, VA, DC (District of Columbia), NC, MA, FL, TX, GA, OK, OH, MO, TN, IN, and AL.
Responsibilities :
Provide service to internal and external clients by reviewing and communicating policy coverage, risk, and / or structure approvals or denials based on client and company standards.
Review Property & Casualty (P&C) applications for insurance coverage, property inspections, and other related information to determine if applications are acceptable under available client programs.
Evaluate and make decisions regarding policy cancellation, reinstatement, or modifications to coverage forms or limits within company guidelines.
Assess the risk experience against the class of business under review to determine underwriting acceptance.
Analyze the loss potential for risks related to catastrophe, frequency, and severity.
Process transactions, update records, and ensure compliance with company policy and procedural guidelines while using company resources.
Report on any unusual conditions affecting client satisfaction.
Meet individual and departmental goals by taking ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
Handle difficult or emotional client situations with professionalism, responding promptly to client needs and feedback.
Ensure all actions align with organizational values and ethical standards, treating people with respect and fostering trust in all interactions.
Overcome obstacles and demonstrate persistence in achieving goals.
Qualifications / Background Profile :
- At least 2 years of agency or underwriting experience in Personal Lines, including homeowners and other property insurance lines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate property inspections for accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and persuasively in various situations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond to inquiries effectively, and handle stress under pressure.
Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles to meet goals.
Ability to follow policies and procedures while supporting organizational goals and values.
