REV WATCHES, is a new watch boutique located in Los Angeles. More than just a watch store, we aim to offer a forward-looking perspective on timepieces as an essential element to modern living. The shop (both physical and online) allows visitors to rediscover brands and acquire timepieces that are worn by enthusiasts - drawn to the crafted details that make a watch desirably creative, contemporary and sophisticated.
JOB SUMMARY
The E-Commerce Content Specialist is responsible for the storytelling and visual merchandising of our products / brands on our e-commerce and social channels. We are seeking someone who is a passionate content creator, visual storyteller, strategic thinker, and skilled communicator with experience in promoting brands and their products in a uniquely creative and authentic way. A keen sense of the current social voice, tone, style and creative is critical.
The purpose is to engage, educate, and promote the products / brands to visitors on our website, in order to drive traffic, conversion and revenue while maintaining a brand voice. He / she also uses individual initiative to work with our merchandising team to identify up and coming brands / products and understand the existing assortment of products. He / she will effectively manage internal and external sources to obtain accurate product details (specs, images, attributes, videos, etc.) to create a best-in-class web and social content that is consumer-centric.
The Content Specialist will also test the products in order write hands on reviews and develop other digital content related to such product reviews.
The E-Commerce Content Specialist implements and maintains style guides in order to write original web content that is consistent with the brand. He / she will collaborate with the SEO team to review business results, discuss initiatives and ensure content is optimized with SEO best practices that result in favorable search engine rankings and drive traffic.
This role also requires an understanding of the major relevant social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and beyond), and a tech savvy aptitude for learning the new apps / tools to support and streamline the workflow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand and Product Content Creation – As assigned
- Drive sales and conversion for a portion of the REV WATCHES catalog through product and brand content creation and maintenance
- Manage internal and external relationships with key partners to gather product information (details, images, attribution, etc.) in a deadline driven environment
- Execute the process for creating original web-optimized product content, such as flat lay photography, reviews and descriptions, to drive online sales
- Obtain, edit and create new image and / or video presentation to represent product thoroughly and accurately
- Complete product attribution to drive online merchandising
- Apply business knowledge to identify and understand assortments and prioritize key initiatives
- Apply and maintain style guides to ensure consistent product presentation within category
- Partner with SEO team to implement SEO best practices, and review business results and upcoming initiatives to support category of business
- Write product titles, descriptions, reviews, and other verbal assets in accordance with brand voice guidelines
- Delegate tasks to additional resources to support content creation when applicable
