As a Construction Helper, you will primarily engage in labor-intensive tasks such as cleaning, demolition, flagging, spotting, and assisting carpenters on-site. Your duties will include organizing and disposing of materials, aiding in wall penetration and the construction of floors, walls, and ceilings within cleanrooms. This role demands the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds, while adhering to Intel's safety protocols. You may also be involved in basic construction activities such as building structures, rack installation, and tool installation. Proficiency with hand and power tools is essential, and you must be comfortable wearing a bunny suit when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor work including cleaning, demolition, flagging, and spotting.
• Assist carpenters on-site, particularly at Intel.
• Organize and dispose of materials and ensure site clean-up.
• Support wall penetration and the construction of cleanroom sub-layers.
• Lift and move heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
• Adhere to safety rules and protocols.
• Engage in basic construction tasks including building structures and tool installation.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Work collaboratively in a buddy system.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, production, and general labor.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform demolition and clean-up tasks.
• Capability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 10 training is advantageous.
• Experience with moving materials using rigging or forklifts.
• Comfortable with basic construction duties.
• Mandatory tools include claw hammer, vise grips, wrenches, screwdrivers, side cutters, tape measure, and more.

Work Environment

This role is based at Intel Ocotillo campus with a schedule of 60 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 5 am. Be prepared for occasional Saturday work and 10-15 hours of overtime weekly. You will work in both outdoor and cleanroom settings, requiring comfort with wearing a bunny suit when necessary. A buddy system ensures a supportive and safe working environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
