Job Title : Lead Assembler Location : Riverdale, NJ Type : Contract to Hire Compensation : $23-$24 / hour Contractor Work Model : Onsite Hours : Monday through Friday (8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM) LEAD ASSEMBLER SUMMARY The Lead Assembler will support the Assembly Department through a blend of hands-on production and administrative coordination. The Lead Assembler will perform assembly and testing tasks as needed while also taking responsibility for training, documentation, and department organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced assembler who enjoys a mix of production and office-based responsibilities. RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble and test products using hands or basic tools, following engineering drawings and written instructions to complete assembly tasks. Utilize the company’s digital systems to record production activity and part counts. Maintain clean and organized assembly areas. Train and assist assembly personnel on standard operating procedures and digital systems. Handle and organize electronic documents, including training rosters and departmental records. Perform data entry and generate reports using Microsoft Word and Excel. Coordinate departmental communication and provide administrative support to the Assembly Manager. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; technical training beyond high school preferred. Prior assembly experience in a manufacturing environment required. Ability to comprehend basic engineering concepts and units of measure (pressure, length, flow rate, etc.). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain accurate records. Capable of training others and ensuring adherence to company procedures.
