The Role

Well established calibration service organization in N. Billerica, MA is seeking an Electronic Calibration Technician for a full-time position. The candidate will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab or in the field at the customers' location, as needed.

Job Description

The candidate will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of hands-on calibration experience. Candidates with experience using mechanical and / or electronic measuring, inspection, and testing equipment will also be considered. Additionally, the Calibration Technician will be a self-starter, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work with other technicians within the lab to provide calibration services, which can include measurement, temperature, torque, pressure, etc.
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
• Maintain calibration standards
• Working knowledge and competency in mechanical and physical dimensional calibrations with instruments / tools such as :

Hardness testers, optical comparators, surface plates, tensile testers
