Zachary Piper Solutions is currently looking for a Harness Manufacturing Engineer to support one of our aerospace partners on-site in Midland, TX. The Harness Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing the production of electrical harnesses and cable assemblies used in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite platforms. This individual will work closely with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure harnesses are built to aerospace standards, support production troubleshooting, and lead process improvements in a high-reliability, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities for the Harness Manufacturing Engineerinclude:
- Develop and maintain harness assembly processes, work instructions, routers, and assembly drawings.
- Review harness design schematics and layouts for manufacturability and reliability.
- Define and select tooling, equipment, and materials required for harness production.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for nonconformances.
- Develop and implement testing protocols using automated harness testers (e.g., CIRRS, DIT-MCO).
- Ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and NASA/ESA workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers, quality teams, and supply chain to ensure smooth production flow.
Qualifications for the Harness Manufacturing Engineerinclude:
- 3+ years of experience in harness or cable assembly manufacturing for aerospace, defense, or satellite applications
- Strong understanding of harness design principles, electrical schematics, and 3D CAD tools (CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks).
- Hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, and wire dressing.
- Experience with automated harness testers (CIRRIS, DIT-MCO, etc.)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.
Compensation for the Harness Manufacturing Engineerinclude:
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 *depending on experience*
