HireUp Talent is partnering with our client in the Riverview area for a 5th Grade Teaching position.
Under the supervision of Campus Administration and team leads, Professors will develop, teach and instruct students in elementary school academic subject matter, social, behavioral, and other educational skill areas; plan, develop, organize and conduct a comprehensive educational program for middle school level students; assist middle school level students in areas of personal and individual development; assist middle school level students in making appropriate life style adjustments, and in the determination of career and vocational choices.
Summary of Key Responsibilities :
- Teach and instruct in intervention classes designed to close the academic achievement gap for students performing below grade level.
- Teach and instruct in Kids Community College approved subject matter areas for comprehensive middle school education program.
- Utilize an adopted core course of study, instructional program guidelines, and other materials in planning and developing lesson plans and teaching outlines.
- Pursue a variety of thematic, differentiated, multiple intelligence- orientedmethodology in teaching and instructing students.
- Conduct teaching and instructional activities, using educational equipment, technology, Handsonmaterials, books, and other learning aids.
- Provides instruction in citizenship and character development.
- Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of students from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, and a range of mental and emotional maturity.
- Review, analyze and evaluate the history, background and assessment of students in designing instructional programs to meet individual educational needs.
- Individualize and adapt educational processes and procedures to enhance student educational opportunities.
- Provide group and individual instruction to motivate students, and effectively utilize the time available for instructional activities.
- Maintain appropriate standards of student behavior, using behavioral management strategies and techniques, including positive reinforcement and behavior shaping procedures.
- Review, analyze, evaluate, and report student academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Prepare, administer, score, record, and report the results of criterion referenced tests, administer, score, record and report the results of group standardized tests in evaluating
student growth and progress.
