About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Music Teacher to become a valuable addition to the team at James Sheahan Catholic High School Orange. The teacher in a Secondary Catholic School is someone who can collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs relevant to the music curriculum while creating a nurturing and order learning environment for their students.
We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by :
Creating a learner-centred supportive and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies
Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress
Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education
Analysing student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement
Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes
Collaborating with school leadership staff and contribute to school life
Providing student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities
- Supporting the sacramental liturgical ritual and prayer life of the school

About You
We are looking for someone who can address the following criteria :
Commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools
Competency to integrate technology effectively to maximise student outcomes and engagement
Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort engagement and excellence through the development of a positive supportive student environment
Qualifications and / or willingness to teach Junior and Senior Music courses and willingness to teach Drama
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a collaborative team environment
