Country:

United States of America

Location:

HIN02: Ft Wayne IN 1010 Production Road , Fort Wayne, IN, 46808 USA

Position Role Type:

Onsite

Our nation's security depends on the sacrifice of the men and women who defend our country. For them to do this effectively, they need the technology that keeps them a step ahead of their adversaries. This means providing secure yet technologically advanced equipment to our service personnel, fielded as quickly as possible. Our commitment is to do precisely that.

The Secure Processing Solutions (SPS) department is responsible for the design, test, and certification of cross-domain technologies and cryptographic products that equip our warfighters to thrive in today’s multi-domain battlespace. Our department collaborates with portfolio teams across the organization to help capture new business and create security-hardened solutions that address our customers’ demanding needs.

The SPS Systems Engineering team seeks a Systems Engineer with a passion for innovation and the drive to see new technology and capability matured into fielded solutions. This role will contribute to a team responsible for systems and cyber security engineering tasks related to our next-generation security-enabled mission computing, crypto, and cross-domain technologies, maturing products from low TRL through a program of record accreditation and factory production.

There is no need to be an established subject matter expert. We are looking for talented individuals who love to problem-solve and desire to grow and gain exposure to new skills. Our customers come from all different backgrounds, and so do our employees. If you're passionate about what you could accomplish here, we'd love to hear from you.

What YOU Will Do:

  • Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team of professionals and stakeholders to design and develop innovative Cross Domain Solutions products, ensuring seamless integration and performance
  • Lead and actively contribute to the secure systems development lifecycle, including conducting trade studies, defining system design, allocating and tracing requirements, and performing verification testing and qualification activities
  • Play a key role in the development and implementation of AGILE execution plans, ensuring alignment with program cost, schedule, and performance objectives while identifying and mitigating risks and variances
  • Manage cost accounts for assigned scope, monitor and report on cost and schedule performance, track key metrics, and proactively address issues and concerns to maintain program success
  • Facilitate and actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint reviews, user story refinement, and product demos, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with project goals
  • Travel expectations up to 10%

What You Will Learn:

  • You will gain technical leadership experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to very influential individuals within Mission Systems that will help advance your career
  • You will obtain invaluable experience working with our secure processing subject matter experts in addition to security certification specialists, our customer base, and our product line engineering teams, learning exactly what it takes to deliver a security hardened product in a world where cyber resiliency is critical to success
  • You can take flight to becoming knowledgeable in security hardened products with exposure to the variety of business and products in an ever-evolving field
  • We are growing, so can you!

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment and being part of highly integrated Agile teams working closely with multiple engineering development teams (SW, HW, Cyber, SYS)
  • Experience with performing system design, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition, integration and test, and subsystem level integration
  • Experience working multiple projects and being responsible for multiple concurrent project milestones with overlapping deadlines
  • Experience in Systems Engineering process development and deployment.
  • Experience using the Atlassian resource suite, specifically: Jira and Confluence

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools
  • Systems engineering experience executing development of security hardened systems/products within a classified development environment
  • Recent and relevant experience with the secure systems engineering development process including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation
