TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Salinas, California, 93906!

Job Title

RN – Emergency Room (Acute Care)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-volume 19-bed Emergency Department seeing approximately 170 patients per day
Care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to vulnerable adult patients presenting with a wide variety of medical and trauma-related conditions
Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (adjusted for ICU or Stepdown-level patients)
Document patient care using Meditech electronic health records via WOW workstations; administer medications via Pyxis and manage IV therapy using Solaris pumps
Collaborate with Charge RNs and dedicated break nurses to support department operations and continuity of care
Participate in a rotating shift schedule, including every other weekend, with schedules set four weeks at a time

Required Qualifications

Active RN license in the State of California
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
NIHSS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or high-acuity emergency environment
Familiarity with Meditech charting systems, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Solaris IV pumps
Experience caring for high-acuity trauma presentations such as MVAs, falls, and penetrating injuries
