Position Type: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, 40 hours/week, Days vary

Your role with us

As an OB/GYN at Salem Health, you’ll provide full-scope care in a hospital-based setting, with seamless integration between clinic, inpatient, and surgical services. You’ll join a supportive, experienced team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include managing pregnancies (including high-risk), performing gynecologic procedures, and participating in shared call. With strong clinical support, onsite anesthesiology, and close proximity to Labor & Delivery, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in a well-connected, community-focused environment.

OB/GYN Clinic

Located in Salem Hospital, our OBGYN clinic offers seamless access to Labor & Delivery, the Emergency Department, and surgical services. The clinic is staffed by a collaborative team of physicians, midwives, APPs, and nurses, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. With strong clinical support and a connected hospital environment, this is a well-resourced, team-oriented setting to grow your practice and serve the community.

What you'll do

  • Provide full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings on the Salem Hospital campus.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage routine and high-risk pregnancies with support from an experienced care team.
  • Perform gynecologic procedures including IUD placements, colposcopies, ablations, and minor surgeries in clinic and OR settings.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, midwives, RNs, MAs, and OB hospitalists.
  • Participate in a shared call rotation, with some weekend call performed from home, ensuring 24/7 access to care.
  • Deliver babies in a modern Labor & Delivery unit located steps from the clinic, supported by anesthesiology and nursing staff.

Required qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school. Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Oregon. Current DEA certification.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred; will consider exceptional new graduates. Experience managing both routine and high-risk obstetric patients and performing common gynecologic procedures.

Additional information

  • Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries or minimally invasive techniques is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a hospital-based, integrated care setting is a plus.
  • Comfort managing high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecologic cases is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to community-focused care and serving diverse patient populations.
  • Willingness to participate in mentorship and professional development programs.
