The Operating Room Technician holds no direct reports and functions as a vital clinical teammate within the surgical care continuum. Cross-collaboration for the Operating Room Technician includes coordination with Pre-Op / PACU, Materials Management, and infection prevention leaders to ensure readiness and efficiency.

Within a dynamic surgical services department featuring 10-14 ORs and an annual case volume that spans general, ortho, neuro, women's health, and cardiovascular specialties, the Operating Room Technician will experience an energetic, professional, and highly supportive culture. Qualifications for the Operating Room Technician include a high school diploma or equivalent; graduation from a school of Surgical Technology preferred; BLS prior to the end of probation; and current Surgical Technologist certification, along with knowledge of sterilization / cleansing protocols and the ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Experience for the Operating Room Technician of one or more years in an acute care operating room or instrument care environment is preferred.
