Summary
As an emergency response medical professional, you will provide immediate medical care to individuals affected by accidents, violence, and sudden illnesses, including cardiac arrests or strokes. This role involves delivering pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from the initial contact until handover to the receiving medical facility.
Job Duties
- Actively represent the ambulance service at public functions, expositions, and events, and provide standby services as required.
- Document comprehensive assessments and treatments using patient care charting software.
- Provide care for patients in psychiatric, medical, and traumatic crises through medical and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate as part of a two-member ambulance crew responding to both emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Operate advanced life support equipment, including bag valve mask resuscitators, external defibrillators, and electrocardiograms.
- Assess injuries or illnesses to establish and prioritize necessary medical procedures for patient stabilization and transportation.
- Respond to dispatcher instructions and operate emergency vehicles safely to designated locations.
- Administer medications as directed by a physician, through injections, IVs, or oral routes.
- Communicate effectively with medical personnel at emergency facilities regarding treatment instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and decontamination of the ambulance after treating patients with infectious diseases, reporting such cases to relevant authorities.

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift over 50 lbs, push / pull up to 140 lbs, and carry 80 lbs short distances. Frequent standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and overhead reaching are required.
