Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager, assists with clinical and patient care activities in the Emergency Department.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must possess one of the following :
- Current certification to practice as a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Current National Registry Certification as a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
- Three years of equivalent clinical work experience.
- Completion of a nurse internship program in an Emergency care setting or 1 year experience as an Emergency Department Care Assistant and enrollment to begin final year of an accredited Nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
