TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Plano, Texas, 75075!

Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Plano, Texas

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting, including certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn cases
Work within a 38-bed emergency department that includes trauma bays, a burn room, a psych room, and a vertical treatment area
Utilize standard emergency and trauma equipment and document care using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries under variable staffing models based on census and acuity
Maintain a patient-first philosophy while adapting to fluctuating patient ratios and volume
Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility to cross-train at a sister facility if needed

Required Qualifications

Active Texas RN license or compact license eligibility
Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
SAMA, CPI, or equivalent de-escalation certification (30-day grace period may be provided if not currently held)
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with 4 weekend shifts per month

Preferred Experience / Skills

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
Experience in Level 1 trauma, stroke, or burn care environments
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
