Responsibilities

Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the ER Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience preferred.

2. EMT, Advanced EMT or Paramedic Certification required upon hire and maintain active.

3. BCLS on hire and maintain current.

4. Training on Violence in the Workplace prevention within 6 months of hire.

Centinela Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and / or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $XX.00 to $XX.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
