EMT / Paramedic – Urgent Care

Bayview Physicians Group is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I), EMT-Advanced (EMT-A), or Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Urgent Care team. Under the supervision and medical direction of the Urgent Care Physician, the EMT / Paramedic plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist urgent care providers with both invasive and non-invasive clinical procedures, including but not limited to :
Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
Intravenous (IV) insertions
Phlebotomy
Deliver age-appropriate care by demonstrating knowledge of human growth and development across the life span.
Collect and interpret patient data to support clinical assessment and decision-making.
Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures while maintaining a safe, supportive patient environment.
Collaborate effectively with the care team to enhance the patient experience and outcomes.
Qualifications : Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of an approved Paramedic or EMT-I training course. Equivalent military medical training and experience may be considered.
Experience :
Minimum of one (1) year of field experience preferred, but not required.
Licensure / Certifications :
Current certification as a Virginia or National Registry EMT-I, EMT-A, or EMT-P required.
Current CPR certification required.
Relevant military medical experience (e.g., corpsman or medical technician) may be accepted in lieu of EMT certification.
Additional Requirements :
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
