About the Role :

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of various systems within our communities. This position involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues to maintain a safe and efficient environment. The technician will also be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. Additionally, the role requires the technician to document all service activities and communicate effectively with team members and management. Ultimately, the Service Technician contributes to the overall satisfaction of our clients by ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and HVAC systems maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Positive and service minded individual that will live Fourth Street's Core Values - Respect for All

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in Property Management
  • Certification in HVAC or electrical systems.
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and preventive maintenance practices.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems and HVAC equipment, providing timely repairs as needed.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools to carry out repairs and installations, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Write detailed routine reports and correspondence regarding maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with other maintenance staff to address complex issues and improve overall service delivery.

    • Skills :

    The required skills in electrical troubleshooting and HVAC systems are essential for diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently. Daily work will involve using power tools and hand tools to perform repairs, which requires a strong understanding of safety practices. Preventive maintenance skills will be applied to conduct regular inspections, helping to identify potential problems before they escalate. Writing routine reports and correspondence is crucial for maintaining clear communication with team members and management about service activities. Additionally, general maintenance skills will be utilized to ensure all systems are operating at peak performance, contributing to a safe and functional environment.
