Performs a variety of routine technical and patient care duties under the direction of physicians and nurses. Responsible for the cleaning and reprocessing of a variety of endoscopes and accessories. Maintains and stocks instruments and supplies.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education: Required:1. Equivalent to high school plus additional specialized training.
Experience/Skills: Required:1. Three to twelve months' experience. 2. Knowledge of patient care, endoscopy procedures and basic GI anatomy. 3. Must be flexible with scheduling needs. 4. Must be able to work independently and work well in teams. 5. Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and communication skills. 6. Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Preferred:1. Prior experience as an Endoscopy Technician is strongly preferred. 2. Surgical Instrument technician or Central Sterile Technician experience is preferred.
