This position is open for both O&M Technician Level II and III, with leveling based on relevant experience.
Hourly Rate : $35.22 - $56.96, depending on experience.
Shift : 2pm - 10pm.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The main responsibilities include operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all high-voltage electrical and integrated control equipment to ensure efficient plant operations and maximize asset value.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to manage work order processes and spare parts inventory, performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant equipment.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain turbines, generators, pumps, scrubbers, boilers, motors, and other auxiliary equipment.
- Train and mentor colleagues in preventive maintenance and routine service activities while promoting safety and environmental stewardship.
- Lead problem identification initiatives and recommend effective solutions.
- Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Conduct electrical maintenance on generators, transformers, and motor-operated valves (MOVs).
- Engage in troubleshooting of control circuits, motors, and electrical components using specialized test instruments.
- Develop and maintain operating procedures to ensure safe and consistent equipment operation.
- Ensure all work is done safely and efficiently while adhering to environmental and housekeeping standards.
- Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
POSITION SCOPE
The individual in this role must effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and possess a strong knowledge of PLCs, Ovation, and GE Mark 6 Digital Control Systems.
