Job description

Are you ready to power the future?

At SolarEdge (NASDAQ: SEDG), we're a global leader in smart energy technology, with over 4,000 employees, offices in 34 countries, and millions of installations worldwide.

Our innovative solutions include solar inverters, battery storage, backup systems, EV charging, and AI-based energy management. We're committed to making clean, green energy the primary power source for homes, businesses, and beyond.

With the growing demand for electricity, the need for smart, clean energy sources is constantly rising. SolarEdge offers amazing opportunities to develop your skills in a multidisciplinary environment, covering everything from research and development to production and customer supply. Work with talented colleagues, tackle exciting challenges, and help create a sustainable future in an industry that's always evolving and innovating. Join us and be part of a company that values creativity, agility, and impactful work.

SolarEdge is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Energy Storage to shape the regional strategy and growth of our Community, Commercial and Industrial energy storage portfolio across North America. This is a high-impact role for a strategic, technically strong product leader who is passionate about solar, storage, distributed energy resources, and helping customers solve complex energy challenges.

In this role, you will serve as the regional voice of the market, translating customer needs, competitive insights, incentive structures, and application requirements into clear product and feature priorities. You will work closely with global product management, R&D, sales, marketing, operations, applications engineering, and customer-facing teams to bring differentiated SolarEdge solutions to market.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of technology, market strategy, and customer engagement. You will help define how SolarEdge positions and deploys energy storage solutions for CC&I applications, including PV-plus-storage integration, site load management, controls, communications, and distributed energy asset optimization.

Location: Remote

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define regional product and feature requirements for the North America CC&I energy storage portfolio, including integrated controls for solar, storage, building loads, and other distributed energy assets.
  • Serve as the voice of the North American market by gathering customer feedback, analyzing market trends, evaluating competitive offerings, and identifying opportunities to strengthen SolarEdge’s product roadmap.
  • Partner with global product management and R&D teams to advocate for regional requirements and support the development of solutions that address customer, regulatory, and commercial needs.
  • Lead regional product launches by developing launch plans and coordinating cross-functional execution across sales, marketing, operations, product management, applications engineering, and technical support teams.
  • Define target applications, use cases, value propositions, and positioning for CC&I energy storage and PV-plus-storage solutions.
  • Monitor competitive activity, customer requirements, incentive programs, market economics, and regulatory trends to develop compelling positioning and messaging that differentiates SolarEdge solutions.
  • Support sales enablement by communicating product value propositions, developing sales tools, supporting customer-facing materials, and partnering with marketing to drive demand-generation programs.
  • Train and support account management, sales, and technical teams by providing product education, coaching, and recommendations for internal and external training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with applications engineering, technical support, and commercial teams to identify field needs, support customer opportunities, and improve the overall product experience.
  • Help translate technical capabilities into clear business value for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Country:
United States

City:
Austin, TX
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the CC&I energy storage industry, preferably in product management, technical marketing, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong understanding of Community, Commercial and Industrial energy storage applications, PV-plus-storage integration, site load management, and distributed energy asset controls.
  • Knowledge of competitors, customer needs, market trends, and technology developments in the CC&I energy storage and solar industries.
  • Familiarity with state incentives, economic drivers, ROI analysis, and financial modeling for energy storage deployments.
  • Experience with software platforms, controls, communications, or monitoring solutions for PV-plus-storage applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of NEC and applicable regulatory codes for PV and energy storage installations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support product launches in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, handling objections, and leading complex discussions with product management, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical and commercial value to internal and external audiences.
  • Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and build trust in a remote environment.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused mindset with the ability to influence across teams and translate market needs into actionable product direction.

What Will Help You Succeed

  • Curiosity and passion for clean energy, energy storage, and emerging distributed energy technologies.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with commercial judgment.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with market, product, customer, and financial data.
  • Confidence engaging with customers, sales teams, technical stakeholders, and global product leaders.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market.
