Are you ready to pave the way to an exciting future? We are currently seeking talented Construction Engineering Inspectors to join our dynamic team. This role is open to candidates willing to commute across state lines for fulfilling projects.

To qualify for this position, you must have at least an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution. If you are passionate about supporting engineers and ensuring highway construction projects are successful, we want to hear from you!

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Conducting inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards.
  • Testing materials and reviewing engineering plans, while analyzing data for construction projects.
  • Keeping accurate daily records on project operations, troubleshooting issues to support contractor progress.
  • Monitoring contractor operations, verifying compliance, and reviewing test results to ensure quality.
  • Documenting financial records related to construction and performing necessary calculations.
  • Identifying potential contract issues and advising management on necessary modifications to maintain quality and safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and that all work is performed under required permits.
  • Effectively communicating and coordinating with various stakeholders to minimize disruptions and enhance project efficiency.

You should have :

  • An Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant inspection experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report.
  • The ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • A commitment to safety protocols in all work practices.
  • Safety toe shoes are required for the role.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • A willingness to comply with any post-offer fit for duty evaluations as necessary.

    • Desired Skills and Competencies :

  • Familiarity with surveying techniques and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration.
  • Experience with outdoor work in construction environments and navigating potential hazards.
  • Ability to maintain detailed daily reports and documentation.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and principles, including contract administration.
