Position: Manufacturing Engineering Planning Specialist

About the Role
This role supports a Manufacturing Engineering Planning team responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing manufacturing planning data and work instructions. The position plays a key role in translating engineering designs into executable manufacturing plans that support efficient and compliant production operations.
Key Responsibilities
·Create, maintain, and manage the Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) and Order Bill of Material (OBOM).
·Analyze engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, and process documentation to define manufacturing methods and sequences.
·Develop detailed electronic work instructions and supporting documentation for production teams.
·Collaborate with design engineering and production engineering to interpret and advise on manufacturing, tooling, and process requirements.
·Incorporate and manage revisions to manufacturing plans and work instructions based on engineering changes.
·Ensure manufacturing documentation aligns with applicable processes, policies, and quality standards.
·Support management reviews, program reviews, and cross‑functional meetings by documenting action items and tracking them to completion.
Minimum Qualifications
·Professional experience in standard manufacturing planning processes and procedures.
·Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
·Proven technical writing skills, including development of clear and structured work instructions.
·Strong communication, organization, scheduling, and time management skills.
·Experience using manufacturing and engineering systems such as:
·SAP and/or Teamcenter for Bill of Material and shop floor management
·iBASEt (Solumina), Computer Aided Production Planning (CAPP), or Shop Order Maintenance (SOM)
·Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
·Experience in aerospace or aviation manufacturing environments.
·Familiarity with model‑based engineering and digital manufacturing systems, including Teamcenter and 3DX.
·Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams.
