School Psychologist Requirements :

  • Graduate Degree (M.A., Ed.S., M.S. Ed., Ph.D., Ed.D., or Psy.D.) in psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • School Psychologist Certificate in the state of Illinois
  • Must be able to obtain, and hold, a valid Illinois Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and / or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

School Psychologist Job Description :

  • Location(s) : Vernon Hills, IL

    • Caseload and details of position / classroom type will differ based on school location

  • Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
  • Contract through the 2025 / 2026 school year – Up to 37.5 – 40 hours per week
  • Contract follows the academic district calendar

    • Essential Functions :

  • Consult and collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agency personnel regarding psycho-educational needs of middle school students
  • Conduct assessments of children, as deemed appropriate
  • Promote educational success and advocate for the academic and mental needs of students

    • Salary :

  • $2,250 -$2,437 per week
