Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is a hands-on technical role that supports Production Output by executing, fabricating, and implementing physical improvements on the manufacturing floor. This position focuses on building and modifying carts, tools, jigs, f ixtures, and workstations, performing time studies, supporting first article and pilot builds, and helping translate engineering concepts into safe, efficient, and repeatable production processes. The technician works closely with Manufacturing Engineers to turn concepts, designs, and improvement ideas into real, functional solutions on the production floor with a strong emphasis on practical execution, waste elimination, and flow.
Key Responsibilities
First Article & Pilot Build Support
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with first article and pilot builds.
- Identify, document, and communicate issues encountered during builds, including fit-up issues, unclear instructions, tooling gaps, or sequencing problems.
- Help validate assembly sequence, tooling effectiveness, and standard work before release to production.
