Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Automation will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our electro-mechanical equipment and machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics principles, programing, running machines as well as the ability to perform electro / mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Automation must be detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Must relate machine automation with Genomic principles and lab techniques for lab processes and chemistry.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify faults and potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Repair or replace defective electronic parts, such as sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, accurately and comprehensively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery.
- Stay updated on advancements in electronic / automation technology and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ability to run and provide basic programing of automated equipment.

For . locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
