Job Description :

  • Teach Theology to eager young minds.
  • Instill in students a love for Theology and the Church.
  • Open students hearts minds and souls to all that is good beautiful and true through the teaching of Theology.
  • Use creative and varied pedagogical techniques to create a fun ordered and fruitful learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the instructional leader and members of the Theology department to leverage best practices and build a passion for the Catholic Church.
  • Work with the chaplain and the Campus Ministry team to integrate students intellectual formation with evangelization for the spiritual formation of the students staff and families.
  • Promote Bishop Boyeas pastoral letter Go and Announce the Gospel of the Lord.
  • Periodically plan and lead inspiring pilgrimages and participate in other co-curricular activities.
  • Serve as a faculty mentor to one of FGRs House Groups.
  • Be ready to support the mission of the school with other duties as assigned.
  • And naturally prepare lesson plans; take attendance; give assignments and tests; grade student participation and performance; discipline students; and meet with students and parents as needed to discuss any issues.

Necessary Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors in Theology and working towards M.A. in Theology or related field; M.A. in Theology preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience teaching Theology at the high school level preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom of 20 students.
  • Skilled at developing and delivering lesson plans that engage students and lead to high academic achievement.
  • Passionate about forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
