Accounting Inventory Specialist

Verify and track new restaurant openings starting with initial setup prior to opening date and providing support through opening date.

Perform journal entries for beginning inventory for new sites, restaurant conversions requiring inventory movement from one entity to another and other necessary transactions.

Conduct audit inventory reconciliations to ensure that all invoices are posted, waste is posted daily, sales have been accounted for and report findings and recommendations on inventory loss, cost of sales margins, policy compliance to Division personnel.

Perform daily review and research of inventory to ensure inventory is not zeroed out.

Send weekly and monthly communications to stakeholders on audit postings of over specified inventory thresholds during the period.

Resolve store inquiries related to transactions and paperwork submissions.

Ensure data integrity between store submissions and their monthly financials.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.

2+ years experience in retail or restaurant environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Presentation and training skills with the ability to train store personnel over the phone with a high level of professionalism.

Knowledge of PDI software applications.

Basic knowledge of Point of Sale (cash register) systems.

Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.

The position offers a hybrid work environment with 1 day in office and 4 days remote.

This is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr.
