The Role : Consultant, Chemical

The Impact : This position will function as a core member of the Chemical Consulting team which provides consulting services to clients covering such areas as market evaluation and outlook, price analysis and forecast, detailed production cost estimation and benchmarking, technology evaluation and financial analysis. Working closely with the wider SPGE CERA consulting teams, this position will be primarily responsible for the delivery of consulting projects under supervision from a more experienced colleague. The candidate is also expected to develop skills to participate in the complete consulting cycle from lead generation, scope preparation and solution building, managing client deliverables and project management reporting.

Responsibilities :

The consultant is expected to work closely with clients and internal consulting team members to ensure that bespoke consulting projects are delivered on time and within budget

Contribute to consulting projects as required and as driven by business needs by working either individually or under the direction of a consulting project leader, providing subject matter expertise in areas of assigned disciplines to support delivery of high-quality client-specific projects

Assist other consultants with technical research and data analysis for use in proprietary studies as well as carry out primary research and assist in the compilation of project reports and presentations across a wide range of chemical value chains.

Ability to interpret petrochemical supply / demand balances, capacity, and trade data across multiple value chains

Be able to work on spreadsheet models or extract information from models to satisfy unique single client requests

Work with the Consulting team leader(s) to develop solutions to customer requests including preparation of proposals, capability statements, marketing information and estimates for completing consulting projects. Use company corporate systems for management of pipeline, backlog and approvals
