Accountant Position

The accountant position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive system of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities :

• Performs Accounts Receivable functions including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation
• Enters routine journal entries and bank transactions
• Enters AP bills and credit card transactions if needed
• Performs month-end closing and reconciliation
• Reconciles, investigates, corrects, and adjusts accounting information
• Performs bank reconciliation
• Supports department peers as needed

This job operates in a personal home office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit / stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer.
