Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of collection cases from initial demand through judgment and enforcement.
  • Draft essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations effectively.
  • Advise clients on recovery strategies while ensuring compliance with state and federal collection laws.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, collectors, and administrative staff for efficient case management.
  • Maintain precise case documentation and reporting processes.

Qualifications

  • Possess an active Texas bar license.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Show an interest in civil litigation and creditors' rights law.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload.

    • Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in collections is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the FDCPA and related consumer protection laws.
  • Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
