Associate Landman (Entry-Level)

In this role, you will conduct title research and acquisitions for clients while participating in a comprehensive training program with mentorship opportunities. This is a full-time position with benefits, offering a clear path for career advancement.

Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking an Associate Landman (Entry-Level) to join our team. This full-time role, with benefits, involves conducting surface, mineral, and leasehold title research and supporting acquisitions across the energy sector. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn and develop their skills within a structured, team-oriented environment. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals, helping you grow and excel in your career while contributing to successful client projects.

Compensation : Commensurate with experience

Career Path : Opportunity for promotion based on performance and completion of training

Start Date : TBD

Work Authorization : Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research in county records to determine surface and mineral ownership by utilizing online databases or traveling to the local county courthouse to review county records.
  • Maintain professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze and document research findings, extracting relevant information for reports to submit to the client.
  • Meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities in an environment with shifting timeframes.
  • Contribute to other duties assigned by management and determined by business needs.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and / or less than 12 months of industry-related experience
  • Ability to meet specific deadlines, daily and weekly, based on current business needs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management and clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel / Word) or Google (Sheets / Docs)
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat
