Parkline Motors is a used vehicle dealership located in South Salt Lake, Utah. We specialize in pre-owned vehicles and operate in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, accountability, and teamwork are essential. Our accounting team supports dealership operations by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring daily accounting tasks are completed correctly and on time.


About the Role

Parkline Motors is seeking an Entry-Level Accounting Clerk to assist with day-to-day accounting and administrative functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning an accounting career or looking to develop hands-on experience in dealership accounting.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning new systems and processes. Training will be provided, and previous automotive or dealership experience is not required.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with accounts payable and vendor payment processing
  • Enter invoices, receipts, reimbursements, and other financial information
  • Review accounting documents for accuracy and missing information
  • Assist with vendor statement, invoice, and cash receipt reconciliations
  • Help prepare deposits and routine accounting reports
  • Support vehicle inventory accounting and inventory audits
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical records
  • Use spreadsheets and accounting systems to complete assigned tasks
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve routine discrepancies
  • Provide backup support for accounting and administrative functions
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to follow established procedures and complete tasks on time
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial and business information
  • Willingness to learn accounting systems and dealership processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous office, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounting experience
  • Coursework or training in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
  • Automotive or dealership experience
  • Experience with Bill.com or Dealertrack

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Accounting, finance, or bookkeeping coursework is helpful but not required
  • Relevant work experience may be considered in place of formal coursework

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Full-time position
  • On-site at Parkline Motors
  • Office-based environment with regular computer and accounting-system use

Compensation

$18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience
